    Internationally Intelligible Menu

    Now, gotten MediathekView up and running, [see: MV-Note181000 “Quick start: how to get & run MediathekView”], as “International Users” we’d like to deal with an Internationally Intelligible Menu, and GUI. Something of the kind:
    Datei = File
    neue Filmliste laden = Load new film list
    Einstellungen = Settings
    Beenden = Exit
    just as an example. Of course all sensible suggestions are welcome.

    Here this [neue Filmliste laden] = [Load new film list] sounds particularly interesting, so we’ll begin exploring it in some detail, and let you know. Then we’ll try to go on this way.
    See you.

      @interuser And what do you want to tell us with your post? We won’t build an English GUI in the short term, and if we do, we’ll be able to translate it ourselves.

        what do you want to tell us with your post?

        These our purposes:
        – To possibly solicit and be informed in time if any English GUI in sight;
        – Meantime to jot down a sort of personal note of the main / most useful MV commands and procedures, and to share them so to make life easier to some adventurous “International Users” as we are;
        – In that offering also a possibly useful feed-back from such an “alien” source.-

        <!> Of course no problem at all if such goals of ours are here around not welcome. We could try and pursue learning to utilize MV by ourselves, some way; without telling (bothering?..) anybody else.
        Fine so, and all the best. Yours,

          @interuser sagte in MV-Note181017 “Internationally Intelligible Menu”:

          These our purposes:

          Who is “our”? You and your other account?

          – To possibly solicit and be informed in time if any English GUI in sight;
          – Meantime to jot down a sort of personal note of the main / most useful MV commands and procedures, and to share them so to make life easier to some adventurous “International Users” as we are;

          Again the “we”, while you’re obviously speaking alone, just for yourself here.
          So if these “we” cant cope with the German user interface, what exactly do you want with tv shows in the same language?
          Smell slightly troll-ish IMHO.

            Precisely so to learn it, more precisely via TV-News, especially those with UT-Untertitle. By the way, they would be downloadable directly even without using MediathekView but, alas, without the precious Untertitles.

            Saying “we” I intended to be less-personal, and speaking on behalf of some other acquaintance of mine with similar interests, that I’d be glad to introduce you, would you like it (and would they accept it, as this Forum revealed to be not that much friendly, I daresay…).

            By the way, why on Earth aren’t you that much friendly? Have you had any nasty experiences?
            Anyway, here I do not intend to insist any more, as I obviously respect your attitude, as, I trust, you’d respect mine.
            Best regards.

              So a bit more self-learning would help you to understand the menus etc. of MV. What the f*ck…

              It soulds more like Royal we.

              You have been told that at the moment the authors do not intend to publish an English language version of the program. More than once.

              Anyway, here I do not intend to insist any more, as I obviously respect your attitude, as, I trust, you’d respect mine.

              Great idea, thank you.

                great idea

                I see what you mean and, in the current circumstances, I agree with you.
                Plus, of course, please feel free to erase all my messages, this very one included, would you like to.
                All the best. Yours,

                  P.S.: At our sincere, respectful, curious desire of dialog, even possibly of collaboration & friendship, you have answered with disdain and insults. I wander what kind of negative experiences could have led you to such a distrusting attitude.
                  Wish you happier future human experiences.
