ORF funktioniert via Mediathekviewweb.de nicht (via Software schon!)

@claro Schön dass du den ORF nicht verteidigst, weil diese neue Masche ist ja wahrlich nicht die feine Art, sondern ziemlich daneben! Eine Meldung wie sie FrankyDoo erwähnt hat, war früher jedenfalls auch beim ORF üblich. Jetzt hat man nur noch ein Video, dass unendlich lädt und beim DL-Versuch einen Fehler 404 (not found) bringt, beides völlig irreführend. Eigentlich ist nur aus dem Wort GEOBLOCKING in der APA-URL der wahre Grund ersichtlich. Das SRF und die D-Sender kommunizieren Geoblocking eindeutig. Ausserdem ist sowohl beim SRF, als auch bei den deutschen ÖR-Sendern die Anwendung gewisser Ausweichmanöver komplikationslos möglich, während das ORF daraus eine Staatsaffäre macht.

Tja, unsere Alpenrepublik ist da etwas … anders … und was du meinst gibts auch in Ö, das nennt sich “Schwärzung” und ist exakt 2MB groß …
In D bekomme ich halt bei den ÖR-geblockten Videos auch über die Website, dass … in meinem Land aus rechtlichen … blablablablabla … -
Das von FrankyDoo angeführte Cordoba-Video läuft im FF 60.0.2 problemlos (in Österreich)

Auch am Fire-Stick klappt es, falls von Interesse …Im Übrigen nocheinmal danke für den Tipp mit dem “s”, diesen kleinen Zusatzaufwand kann man problemlos in Kauf nehmen!

Mich würde jetzt interessieren, ob bei den Usern in Österreich, die TVthek des ORF einwandfrei funktioniert (bezüglich der Geoblocking-Videos). Sorry about commenting in English. I am in Australia and use a VPN service so my Austrian wife can watch geolocked ORF programs. This no longer works on ORF even though my VPN service is running through an Austrian server.

@mddawson When using Cyberghost, I can play/download movies which are restricted to Germany/France from Arte, and such restricted to Germany from German stations. Just start Cyberghost, and after the connection to the desired proxy server in the country has been set up, start MV.
The free version of Cyberghost has (a) a delay before it connects to a server abd (b) as far as I can see, no connection to Austria; paid version includes also Austria.
You could also edit the info.plist file inside the application package. Just add two lines to the array after the JVMOptions to tell MV to use a proxy server (DproxySet=true) and in the next line define dthe proxy server˚s IP address and port:

Da es lizenztechnisch wenig Sinn ergibt eine Folge zu blocken und die andere nicht,vermute ich auch beim Zertifikatsfehler,keine Absicht sondern einfach nur schlechte Arbeit/Unfähigkeit beim Orf.
Bei worldwide ohne “s” startet der Download in Firefox sofort.

Zunächst mal Danke für die Hilfe!Das Download-Ändern-Fenster kann man wohl nicht VOR einem Download-Versuch öffnen, sondern erst wenn der (bspw. fehlgeschlagene) Download im MV-Download-Fenster auftaucht (oder ginge es doch, dass man schon vor einem Download die URL editiert?
)Mir ist hierbei eines aufgefallen: wenn die Zeile im MV-Download-Fenster rot hinterlegt ist, kann man den Download nicht editieren. Abhilfe: Kurz das Download-Symbol on/off Klicken, damit die Zeile nicht mehr rot ist. Nur dann funktioniert das editieren (hier dann die Workaround-Hilfen “http-s” usw. bemühen, dann klapp der ORF-Download mittels MV-Software). Vielleicht bin ich nicht der einzige Trottel hier, der das mit dem Editieren nicht so ganz geschnallt hatte…
Und sheldon, ich frage nochmal verständnishalber nach: Bei den ORF-Beiträgen mit Geoblocking sind auch Dir die Hände gebunden, oder? Denn die zwei Videos hier sind ja beide ohne Geoblocking (beide Videos sind die Varianten von cms-worldwide/online).

Und ein solcher Webproxys in DE,wäre für unser Ausland sicher auch interessant andere imBisher konnte ich alles runterladen.

@mac-christian Thanks for your suggestion but while I cannot watch geolocked Arte programs through my web browser, I have no problems downloading the same videos. I don’t even need my VPN service (VPN Unlimited) to download the geoblocked files. I was assuming that Arte only applies geoblocking through their webpages rather than at file level. I use ‘Flashget Version 1.9.6.1073’ an old freeware download manager to save files.
@sheldon When using my VPN service, if I attempt to watch or download a ‘cms-austria’ file, nothing happens with ‘https’ and with ‘http’ I only get the file ‘geoprotection_Q8C.mp4’.
