Windows Installer (Exe) vs. Windows (zip)
-
I wander what’s the difference between the two MediathekView Download items:
“Windows Installer (Exe)” and “Windows (zip)”; and what should I preferably get and use best, and why. Thanks.

P.S.: By the way, I’ve just acquired a brand new 64 bit Windows 10 computer almost exclusively to enjoy most recent edition of MediathekView.

The Windows Installer (exe), as the name suggests, installs MediathekView on your system, such as Firefox, Chrome or whatever. This means that a start menu item is created and a directory within
C:\Program Files\
is created for the MediathekView files. The Windows (Zip) does none of this. It’s just a Zip that contains the program files that you can extract to wherever you want. -

Nevetheless inside the (Zip) package there is a nice “MediathekView.exe” that executes perfectly, so that I see very little or no difference with respect the (Exe) package; if not in favour of this nice and less intrusive (Zip)…- P.M.
