    Hi!

I hope somebody could help me. Sorry for not writing in German, but I am not fluent enough.
I am trying to download some arte programs with Polish subtitles available on https://www.arte.tv/pl/ and arte+7. I assume it is possible to get a direct link similar to the ones you can find in MediathekView. The question is: how do you get the ones included there? Is there an algorithm? Will I be able to find the links to the desired programs on my own?
One example of a documentary I would like to download is this:
    https://www.arte.tv/pl/videos/067809-000-A/ober-ost-wojskowa-kolonia-rzeszy/
On arte sitemap (https://www.arte.tv/videofeed/Sitemap/pl.xml) I can see a link which seems to be similar to the links to German and French versions in MediathekView:
    https://arteptweb-vh.akamaihd.net/i/am/ptweb/067000/067800/067809-000-A_0_VOA-STE%5BPOL%5D_AMM-PTWEB_XQ.poIJ10X1K0.smil/master.m3u8
but it doesn’t point to the mp4 file.

    Any ideas?

@alekow sagte: One example of a documentary I would like to download is this:
      https://www.arte.tv/pl/videos/067809-000-A/ober-ost-wojskowa-kolonia-rzeszy/

There is a way to find the mp4 download links, but the following way is much easier and does function on many other video websites:

      1. Install JDownloader 2 (JD2) and open it.
      2. Open the arte webpage: https://www.arte.tv/pl/videos/067809-000-A/ober-ost-wojskowa-kolonia-rzeszy/ and copy the URL to the clipboard
      3. JD 2 now gets the URL from the clipboard and offers the video to download in different resolutions and with different subs burned in the video.
      4. Right click on the desired video to start downloading the file.

        You want to go from

        https://arteptweb-vh.akamaihd.net/i/am/ptweb/067000/067800/067809-000-A_0_VOA-STE%5BPOL%5D_AMM-PTWEB_XQ.poIJ10X1K0.smil/index_1_av.m3u8

        to

        https://arteptweb-a.akamaihd.net/am/ptweb/067000/067800/067809-000-A_SQ_0_VOA-STE%5BPOL%5D_03264648_MP4-2200_AMM-PTWEB_poIJ10X1DB.mp4

I don’t know how to guess “03264648” or “DB”. I also did use JD2.

Thank you guys! That is the sort of thing I was looking for!
In the meantime I have been playing around and actually found another way to download the files, using ffmpeg and the links that are contained in the index_1_av.m3u8 file.
Anyway, your solution is so much better! Much appreciated!
